Meet Rebecca Marie

Rebecca Marie is a South Florida–based singer-songwriter, recording artist, board-certified music therapist, and thyroid cancer survivor creating music rooted in vulnerability, faith, resilience, and hope.

In 2020, a routine appointment led to the discovery of two forms of thyroid cancer. As Rebecca prepared for a total thyroidectomy, she faced the possibility that the surgery could affect her ability to sing. Rather than continuing to wait for the “right time,” she released her original song, “Holes,” on the day of her surgery. By the grace of God, she awoke with her voice completely preserved.

Now in remission, Rebecca carries that experience into everything she creates. Her album Feel to Heal and its expanded deluxe edition explore grief, love, self-discovery, transformation, and the courage to begin again. Her music invites listeners to embrace their emotions as an essential part of healing, and reminds them that they are not alone.

Rebecca’s artistry is also deeply shaped by her work in hospice and palliative care. Since 2018, she has used music to support patients and families through some of life’s most sacred and vulnerable moments, witnessing how a song can preserve a story, reconnect loved ones, and offer comfort when words are no longer enough.

Whether writing, performing, recording, or serving someone at the bedside, Rebecca’s purpose remains the same: to help people feel seen, understood, and less alone.

Because sometimes, you have to feel to heal.
